Before Hiring a Public Adjuster – Learn How ABCwillhelp

We have been helping Floridians keep a roof over their head since 2004.

BEFORE HIRING A PUBLIC ADJUSTER – LEARN HOW ABCwillhelp!

  • ABC will create a Scope of Damage Report for your insurance company at no additional cost to you.
  • ABC will utilize our teams of Legal, Local Engineers and Manufacturers to help you get your home back to pre-hurricane condition.
  • When you partner with ABC, we bring our whole team to you!

Whether you have gotten one estimate, three estimates or are still fighting to get an estimate, ABCwillhelp! After a catastrophic loss, we all just want to complete the repair so that we can move past the stress of losing the safety and security of our home. It’s even more stressful when we feel handcuffed by the inability to repair the damage in a timely manner. Some of our community received estimates, found it was way more than what the insurance adjuster approved and immediately sought legal advice or hired a Public Adjuster. In some instances, this may be the best path.

However, when it comes to your roof, we encourage our fellow SWFL community members to take a deep breath, exhale and get ready to start interviewing contractors. You need to find a contractor you can trust to replace your roof by installing the highest quality products, providing you with the communication you need and creating a comprehensive estimate to help you get the repair or replacement process started. Our team of Estimators at ABC helps our customers by building full-scope-of-work estimates using the same software the insurance companies use but including items often missed by the adjusters. We then offer to meet with the insurance adjusters on site to explain and demonstrate in person that our estimate includes line items that are a necessary part of the repair. Insurance adjusters are not contractors, they typically rely on contractors to help them build the final scope.

When building our estimates, we review the current labor and material rates weekly, to assure we never have to cut corners at the expense of our customers while saving the insurance company money. You are entitled to a fair market rate roof replacement. Avoid hiring the lowest bidder because you thought you had to, based on the first estimate received from the insurance company.

Hiring a Public Adjuster can be very beneficial for many portions of the insurance claims process, but when it comes to your roof, hire an expert in roofing and save yourself the average 10% fee a Public Adjuster will charge, which would ultimately leave you with less money to hire a quality contractor. We work with Public Adjusters from time to time and provide them with the same estimate we would give to your insurer at no charge.

If our scope of work estimate is not approved by the insurance company we bring our team of legal experts to help reach a settlement. Our long-time relationships with legal firms, engineers and manufacturers allow us to build the same quality roof, and provide the same quality service and communication while still preventing our homeowners from incurring additional fees.
